Rachel Pearlstein
Yoga Teacher

Rachel (she/her) is a dedicated yoga teacher who strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space where students can bring their whole selves to the mat, however they are feeling on any given day. Her journey with yoga began at the age of 16 (16 years ago) when she took a yoga elective in high school. She connected with the sense of calm and quiet it provided, as well as the feeling of strength and space in her body. Over the years, yoga has become more than just a practice—it is a way of life, a source of grounding and regulation, and a global community that feels like home. For her, yoga is a way to connect with and care for her body, build both physical and mental strength, and cultivate moments of calm. For her, yoga is a way to connect with and care for her body, build both physical and mental strength, and cultivate moments of calm.

Rachel is trained in and continues to study Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga, and teaches with a trauma-informed lens. Rachel’s classes focus on developing inner awareness, learning how to regulate ourselves and calm the mind, and depending on the style of yoga she is teaching, cultivating strength and flexibility in our bodies and minds.

In addition to teaching yoga, Rachel is a clinical social worker and therapist, and she deeply values the intersections as well as the distinctions between these two fields. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time in nature, singing and playing music, and forming meaningful connections with others. She looks forward to meeting new students and sharing the practice of movement and breath.
