Yoga & Reiki
Class Etiquette
We’re so grateful for the continued growth of our community and deeply honored that you’ve chosen to practice with us at The Alchemy Yoga & Reiki Collective, based in Asheville, NC.

Whether you're joining us online or at one of our partner locations, we kindly ask that you observe the following guidelines to help maintain a peaceful, respectful, and supportive experience for everyone. By embracing these shared values, you help preserve the collective energy of our offerings—no matter where we meet.

General Etiquette for All Classes
-
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early, whether you're attending in person or online. This gives you time to get settled, check in with your teacher, and be fully present for the start of class.
-
Please RSVP for class through our website in advance. This helps your teacher prepare for your presence, tailor the experience when possible, and communicate any updates or changes.
-
Respect the shared space—whether it's a cafe, wellness center, or your own home. Silence your phone, minimize distractions, and set up your space with care and intention.
-
Online students: Join from a quiet, comfortable space with your camera on if you’re comfortable. This helps maintain connection and allows for safe, personalized guidance.
-
In-person students: Follow the etiquette of the host location. Remove shoes if required, and be mindful of noise levels, especially when other services are taking place nearby.
Props & Cleanliness
-
In-person classes: Bring your own mat and props if possible. If shared props are available, please neatly return them after class.
-
Online classes: Have your props ready (mat, blanket, blocks, etc.), and position your camera so your teacher can see your full body if that feels comfortable to you.
During Class
-
Honor the quiet moments, especially at the beginning and end of class. If you need to leave early, please do so quietly—especially during savasana or closing meditation.
-
Be kind and considerate—to your teacher, your fellow students, and most importantly, yourself.
